National removals

We do removals.
That’s the whole list.

No storage arm, no international division, no packing-materials shop, no man-and-van side trade — and nobody who will ring you about boxes. One service, priced as one figure, with the entire offer written down on this website including the parts we don’t do.

The whole offer

Everything, on one page

The full version, with the detail

The quote

Four things can change it. Here they are.

Anyone can say “no hidden costs”. The useful version is a published list of the only circumstances in which the figure moves, so you can check it against what actually happened.

  1. 1

There is materially more than we surveyed

A loft or a garage we were not shown, or a second property added to the collection. We will tell you before we load rather than after we unload, and you can decide.

  2. 2

The access has changed since the survey

Scaffolding gone up, a lift out of service, a road closed. Rare, and we would rather raise it on the day than absorb it silently and cut corners elsewhere.

  3. 3

    You add something

Packing you decided you wanted after all, or a second vehicle once you saw the volume. Added as its own line, agreed before it happens.

  4. 4

A parking suspension is refused or obstructed

Where that turns a short carry into a long one, the extra crew time is chargeable. We will raise it at the time, not put it on the final invoice unannounced.

Those four. Nothing else moves the figure — not the day of the week, not how long it takes us, not how many stairs turn out to be involved. If we got the estimate wrong, that is ours to carry.

How it works

Four steps, no salesman

The most common thing people tell us they liked is that nothing happened between sending the form and the van arriving. That’s deliberate.

  1. 1

    Send the details

The form, or an email. Both addresses, roughly how much there is, and whether your date is fixed.

  2. 2

    Send a video, or don’t

A phone walk-round of each room is usually all we need. If the job is large or the access looks awkward we’ll ask to come and look — you can decline and we’ll quote on a stated assumption instead.

  3. 3

    Get one figure

Itemised, in plain words, with the four things that could change it listed on the same page. Nobody rings you afterwards about packing materials.

  4. 4

    We move you

The crew named on the quote, with everything they need. Beds back together before they leave.

On the day

Who turns up, and with what

Who turns up
The crew named on your quote Employed crew, not a sub-contractor found the night before. If the named crew changes we tell you why before the day.
What they arrive with
Blankets, straps, dollies, tool roll, floor runners All of it standard. You will not be asked whether you would like your furniture protected.
The vehicle
Sized at survey for the job and the street The smallest vehicle that actually does it. A bigger one that cannot get near your door is worse than two trips.
What they will not do
Disconnect gas, plumbing or hardwired appliances Not a dodge — it needs a registered trade, and a remover who offers it is either uninsured or unqualified. We will move them once they are disconnected.
Who to talk to on the day
The crew lead, by name One person is in charge of your move and you will know which one. Decisions do not have to go through an office.

Where we go

Anywhere in the UK

We’re a national operation, which for a single-service firm mostly means we don’t turn down a job because of where it ends. Long moves between these are routine.

What people said

The figure on the quote was the figure on the invoice. I had braced myself for a conversation at the end and there wasn’t one.
Adele K. — Two-bed flat, Leeds to Sheffield
They told me they don’t do storage and gave me the name of somewhere that does, with no commission in it for them as far as I could tell. Odd experience. Good, but odd.
Ray P. — Three-bed house, Bristol
No survey visit, no salesman, no follow-up calls about boxes. I sent a video walk-round and got a quote back. That was the entire process until the van arrived.
Nina S. — One-bed flat, Manchester
Asked whether protection was extra, because it had been on the other two quotes. The chap sounded almost offended. Everything came out wrapped.
Gordon McB. — Four-bed house, Edinburgh to Newcastle
They wouldn’t take the piano and said so upfront instead of finding out on the day. Gave me two names. The one I called did it properly.
Fiona T. — Cottage move, Leicestershire

Asked often

Four we get every week

Why is the list of things you don’t do on the front page?

Because it is the most useful thing we can tell you quickly. Most removal websites describe an enormous range of services, and you cannot tell from reading them whether the firm actually does any of it well.

Publishing the boundary means you can rule us out in a few seconds if we are wrong for you, which is better for both of us than a survey that ends in disappointment.

Will the price change?

Only for the four reasons published on the quote page, and each of them is something we would raise with you before it happened rather than after.

What will not change it: the day of the week, how long the job takes us, how many flights of stairs turn out to be involved, or how heavy something is. If we misjudged the estimate, that is ours to carry.

Do you need to visit before quoting?

Usually not. For most moves a video walk-round or a good set of photographs tells us what we need, and we would rather not send someone to sit in your kitchen.

For larger houses, or where access looks difficult, we will ask to come and look. That is a request, not a condition — you can decline and we will quote with a stated assumption instead.

Can you take my old sofa away?

No. Carrying waste requires a waste carrier licence, and we do not hold one — a remover who offers to "get rid of it for you" as a favour is either unlicensed or not telling you the whole story.

A licensed waste carrier or a reuse charity will do it and give you the transfer documentation, which is what protects you.
